A great month with twenty-three books read!

Audible Books

Mind to Matter: The Astonishing Science of How Your Brain Creates Material Reality

by Dawson Church

Althought, this book is a tad dry on occasion, the information within its pages is fascinating.

If the subject of our minds influencing our universe interests you, this book is a worthy read.

Quantum Tools to Help You Heal Your Life Now: Healing the Past Using the Secrets of the Law of Attraction

by Lisa A. Romano

I love Lisa Romano and for this reason alone, I wanted to love this audiobook.

First of all, I did not like the narrator. I think the book would have a much greater impact if Lisa read her own material. I found the make voice too distracting when I am already familiat with the author’s voice.

I did not care for how the material was presented although I may I felt differently if it were not for the narration. It’s hard to tell.

Splashdown: A Christian Contemporary Romance with Suspense (Dangerous Series Book 3)

by Linda K. Rodante

This series has been a hit and miss for. Honestly, by the third book I am a bit tired of hearing about John and Sharee. I think this book would have been a lot better had it been focused solely on Lynn Stapleton.

Amazon Summary:

Lynn Stapleton likes designer handbags and high-end clothing, so how did Sharee Jergenson talk her into visiting a homeless site, much less starting a friendship with one of its residents?

Then a hurricane hits Florida, and Lynn finds herself involved in the homeless woman’s
murder. Detective Rich Richards thinks Lynn’s connection with the woman is suspicious, but Lynn doesn’t care what the blue-eyed detective thinks. She’s not leaving this investigation until the murderer is found.

On the other hand, Richards finds Lynn not just a disruption to his case, but also to his life as a nominal Christian. He’d do better to stay away from the tall, willowy blonde, but he can’t—because she and Sharee have unearthed evidence that will convict someone of murder, and that person has marked both women for death.

As Long As You Both Shall Live: A Christian Contemporary Romance with Suspense (Dangerous Series Book 2)

by Linda K. Rodante

I did not care for book two. I could give my reasons but in order to do so I ‘d have to give some spoilers.

It is entertaining.

Amazon Summary:

Social worker Sharee Jones has enough to think about–anonymous phone calls, an attack on her life, and uneasiness about her relationship with missionary pilot John Jergenson. The last thing she wants is a marriage proposal.

Commitment to God was easy in the jungles of Indonesia, but when John Jergenson returns home, Sharee refuses his marriage proposal, someone tries to kill them, and a personal tragedy hits. As Easter approaches, will love prevail and his faith survive?

The Ultimatum (The Guardian)

by Karen Robards

The beginning of this novel hooked me immediately. It was amazing. However, the story loses some steam. Moreover, it is a bit more risqué than I am used to. I don’t plan on reading the rest of the series.

Amazon Summary:

Growing up, Bianca St. Ives knew she was different from all her friends. Instead of playing hopscotch or combing her dolls’ hair, she covertly studied martial arts with sensei masters and dismantled explosives with special-ops retirees. Her father prepped her well to carry on the family business.

Now she makes a living swindling con men out of money they stole. But her latest gig goes horribly wrong. Not only do two hundred million dollars and top secret government documents go missing, but her father is killed during the heist. The thing is, the US government doesn’t believe he’s really dead. They’ll stop at nothing to capture Richard St. Ives, a high-value target and someone who has been on most-wanted lists all over the world for over two decades—and they mean to use Bianca as bait. With only a fellow criminal for backup and her life on the line, it’s up to Bianca to uncover the terrifying truth behind what really happened…and set it right, before it’s too late.

So far, book three was my favorite in the Lantern Beach P.D. series.

She simply wants to enjoy her friends’ upcoming wedding, to prepare for the busy tourist season about to slam the island, and to gather all the dirt she can on the suspicious community that’s invaded the town.

Books I Reread

I hardly ever read a book twice mainly because there are so many books I want to read, I do not want to “waste” time by rereading a book.

However, there are some books which are worth rereading often and I decided to do just that very thing.

You read all those books in March?!?! How is that even possible?!?! I’m definitely doing something wrong….

      Hi Melva,

Yes, I really did read all these books. I am a book nerd. I have a Kindle books, regular books, and audible books all going at once. I have read over 80 books since January. I should have been a librarian or the owner of a book store…the latter being my preference.
