Heal Through the Power of Awareness: End the pain and start living an exceptional life

I like the subject matter of the book. Our emotions have been shown to play a large part in our health and in turn, in our state of dis-ease. Awareness is an effective tool.

The author makes a good effort at explaining his point. However, I found the book redundant.

This book was a Christmas present.

I really enjoyed it and found it to be a worthy source of information on tissue salts—also called cell salts.

I certainly acquired a better understanding of their uses.

I plan on re-read this book soon and to take notes as I go.

Lunar Abundance: Cultivating Joy, Peace, and Purpose Using the Phases of the Moon

On my mother’s side, my ancestors were farmers or sailors. People keenly aware of the cycles of the moon and the seasons. I was always fascinated by what my grandfather could tell from the elements, especially the weather.

For these reasons, I wanted to learn more about the lunar cycles.

I can’t recall how I become aware of Lunar Abundance, nonetheless, I purchased it.

First, the pictures peppered throughout the book are beautiful. It is indeed a gorgeous book.

I enjoyed the information within its pages. I plan to reread it as well as to find other books on the subject as well.

Fiction Books I Read for February 2019

Treacherous Skies

I could not get into this book at all. I am actually surprised I finished it. It just didn’t do it for me. I am not sure why.

I love suspense with a hint of romance. I find the Love Inspired Suspense books are a hit and miss for me. Some manuscripts are too heavy on the romance without containing enough suspense to make me happy. I usually do not like straight romance genre.

The Sleuth’s Miscalculation (The Librarian Sleuth Book 1)

This book started a tad slow but it quickly picked up. I really enjoyed it—so did my daughter.

Amazon Summary:

Two strong-willed sleuths team up to solve a mystery. Can they work together, or will their differences pull them apart?
Librarian Nancy Daley loves a good mystery and enjoys moonlighting as a consultant for the sheriff’s department. When license plates go missing in Tipton County, she’s on the case. This time things are different–she’s been partnered with the new deputy, and he’s not interested in her help. To make matters worse, she’s angered the wrong person and is now being threatened.
Sheriff Deputy Carter Malone expects Tipton, Oregon to be a sleepy small-town, but he miscalculated. He’d come to town for a fresh start with his nephew–one without the issues big cities deal with. Had he made a mistake? To complicate matters, he’s told he must consult with the sheriff’s daughter, who is not in law enforcement. When the minor case they are working morphs into something more, things quickly go from harmless to scary.
Can they solve the mystery before it’s too late, and more importantly, what will they do about their growing attraction?

Law of the Lemhi: Part Two (Savage Law Book 1)

I really wanted to like this book. Former FBI…this is the genre I like. However, I felt like this book was dragging on and I could not get into it. At the end of the first book, I did not have the desire to read the second.

Amazon Summary:

Lemhi County Sheriff Coal Savage has realized a little too late that while losing marine and army buddies in Vietnam was bad, it feels a lot worse when the victims are murdered in cold blood–and they are right in the home town where he is sheriff.
Now he is dealing not only with a rebellious fifteen-year-old daughter and a hard-edged but beautiful woman who seems to think he’s the scum of the earth, but he is running a race against time to stop a killer who wants him dead.
Everyone believes the killer is Bigfoot Monahan, the largest man in the valley and an ex-con who swore to kill Coal Savage for his part in putting him in the pen. Coal believes it as well–to the point that he finally realizes he is going to have to kill this man first. Before he can kill another of his friends.

This book was an enjoyable read.

Entertaining.

Amazon Summary:

Her World’s in Chaos

Sharee Jones didn’t plan on falling for a man who resents God, didn’t plan on the mutilated dolls or the threatening notes interfering with her Christmas program and the child who’s to play baby Jesus. She thought God’s hand was in it, but how can it be, when everything she hoped and prayed for is crashing down?

His Days of Hiding Are Done

John Jergenson thought taking the maintenance job at his cousin’s church meant leaving his guilt-ridden past behind. But he hadn’t counted on Sharee and her program, hadn’t counted on her laugh or the warmth in her hazel eyes. And he certainly hadn’t counted on her wanting to know the truth about his past life. He wants to leave, but Sharee could be in danger; and if he runs again, will he ever forgive himself?

Comic Fiction Books I Read for February 2019

The Broken Ear (The Adventures of Tintin)

These comics remind me of my childhood and of my brother who had—and still has—the entire collection.

I am reading them to my twins who are enjoying them.

I understand they may not be politically correct. However, everyone has to make that choice for themselves.
